Two Computers Down in One Week!

I've been having one of those weeks, technology-wise. First, my desktop motherboard blew in a loud FZZZZT! So that set me back a day of work as I scrambled to buy equipment to pull out my hard drives and access them from my laptop. I figured, I might as well use my laptop, since it normally just sits there unless I'm out and about.

Not a week goes by and the laptop crashes! A few days of fiddling confirm the worst: It's not a bad hard drive (which could at least be replaced). No, it's some sort of motherboard/hardware issue that will probably cost as much as a new laptop to fix.

Rather than getting frustrated, I'm just going to trust that "the universe" has some sort of plan for me. Maybe I'll end up with a nicer computer or maybe this downtime is important.

Bottom line for you: If you've emailed me within the past week, I might take some time to get back to you. I have various things backed up here and there but do not have my new computer set up yet. I don't have all my old email at my fingertips. I'm hobbling along on an old Pentium III laptop until I get my new desktop sometime next week.

Patience, they say, is a virtue! :-)
